The calling on the ministry of The Watchman International is to “Prepare the Way for Messiah, from the ends of the Earth to Jerusalem,” as it says in the Isaiah the Prophet: “A voice of one calling: ‘In the desert prepare the way for the LORD; make straight in the wilderness a highway for our God. Every valley shall be raised up, every mountain and hill made low; the rough ground shall become level, the rugged places a plain. And the glory of the LORD will be revealed, and all mankind together will see it. For the mouth of the LORD has spoken’” (Isa. 40:3-5).
An important part of the work is The Elijah Prayer Army (EPA) – A Worldwide Network of Prayer for Israel and the Middle East. “I have posted watchmen on your walls, O Jerusalem; they will never be silent day or night. You who call on the LORD, give yourselves no rest, and give him no rest till he establishes Jerusalem and makes her the praise of the earth” (Isa. 62:6-7).
“For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea” (Hab. 2:14).
Our Vision
“Prepare the way for the people; build up, build up the highway;
clear it of stones; lift up a signal over the peoples.
Behold, the LORD has proclaimed to the end of the earth:
Say to the daughter of Zion, ‘Behold, your salvation comes!’”
—ISAIAH 62:10–11
God has given us a great and holy calling: to prepare the way for Messiah from the ends of the earth to Jerusalem, saying to Jerusalem: “Behold, your salvation comes!”
Preparing the way for Messiah is to build “the Way of Holiness” (Isa 35:8) “to make ready for the Lord a people prepared” (Lk 1:17).
We prepare the way through teaching, prayer, and discipleship.
Teaching
Everything God wants to do always begins with revelation from the Scriptures. Without knowledge and teaching from the Word of God we walk around in darkness and we cannot pray in line with God’s will. “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.” (Hos 4:6)
Prayer
We are called to be watchmen on the walls of Jerusalem, who cry out to God day and night. “On your walls, O Jerusalem, I have set watchmen; all the day and all the night they shall never be silent. You who put the LORD in remembrance, take no rest, and give him no rest until he establishes Jerusalem and makes it a praise in the earth.” (Isa 62:6-7)
Discipleship
The goal of the teaching and the ministry of prayer is disciples transformed to be like our Master Yeshua. This is how the way is built that prepares the way for Messiah. “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, …teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.” (Mt 28:19-20)
